Jungleland

I continue to be challenged getting these photos right – I don’t like the glare and don’t have the patience for the set up to take a better photo. This is on the shelf at Homegrown around Christmas time.

Another disassembled clock. To get the friendly pat on the shoulder from the black gorilla, I had to remove his other arm and reattach it so it’s by his side instead of in the air like the other one. I love the personality and story that gesture gives the piece.  I like the idea of these two looking out at a clockwork-jungle and I like to think they are reassuring each other before heading out on a journey into unknown territory. The bird is the same design I used for another clock sculpture.
